Last Sunday I have mentioned about the spiritual problems of the USA, actually these issues have been here for a long period of time, even from the beginning of this nation was formed. Now my concern is: when the time goes by, Satan works even harder in order to increase the power to destroy the nation. Satan already knows that its time has been limited, it needs work more, and because it is the nature of evil which is trying to enslave human beings as many as possible. Therefore, any country or society which has any tendency to be Christianized or is deeply involved in prayers will automatically cause the alarm of evil. But, however, it is O.K. because our God is still in control of everything. He is the almighty God. We need to focus on Him and be under His guidance, then, everything will be alright. We Christians need to pray and be obedient to the Lord, then, the victory will be with us always, because the battle belongs to the Lord.

Last week I was at Black Mountain, NC, attended the annual international Dunamis Fellowship of the PRMI (Presbyterian Reformed Ministries International). I heard a very interesting story. One prayer warrior and intercessor of PRMI one day before last Thanksgiving was deeply involved in prayer for advancing the gospel. Suddenly she got guidance from the Holy Spirit to pray so that a new attack from an extreme Moslem terrorist in “an airport” soon could be prevented. She even got the guidance that the terrorist was a young man. She called the prayer center of PRMI about this issue. After discerning, PRMI put this prayer request on the website. And thousands of people responded to this urgent prayer request and began to pray. Only a few weeks later, the attack occurred. And it was really a young terrorist. The attack was prevented and this young man was arrested. Praise the Lord. When Christians pray, God pays attention. I pray that millions of Christians may be raised up to become prayer warriors to intercede for different nations from being corrupted and can be saved.

Now actually, the problem of the USA is only one: departing from the true foundation of the nation – the Christian faith and the biblical principle. May the Lord have mercy upon us! I would like to urge more Christians, especially the newly converted Christians, and new immigrants who live in the USA to pray for our nation from being corrupted. Furthermore, we need to pray for those who are too naïve to become the agents of the evil, so that they may be awakened. Also we need to pray for those who believe in pagan gods and through their prayers to curse the USA may be reversed. Only our God can do that.

When Christians pray, God works. Recently California, New York, and New Jersey these three so called “liberal states” refused to legalize the same sex marriage. I believe it was because of Christians who care for the truth and when they pray, God listens.

Now we need to pray for many denominations and churches which are polluted by so called “liberal theology.” Let me take “the denominations” as an example for us to pray:

“Denominations” were God’s gifts during the 16^th Century to the Christian churches. I believe it started in Year 1517 when Martin Luther started the Reformation of the church. The church under the leadership of Luther finally called “Lutheran Church.” Later on, in Geneva, John Calvin followed and started another great reformation and his church was called “Reformed Church” or “Presbyterian Church.” After that, many denominations were raised up for different needs at different locations. Of course, all Protestant churches share the same basic Christian doctrines; yet different denominations have different focuses and emphases which is good to uphold a certain biblical truth in the vast Christian doctrines and truth. Different denominations are just like different great army in God’s Kingdom left up different banners for the glory of God but all under the same Commander – Jesus Christ.

Now most of the denominations are still good and maintain good standing in biblical principles but some are moving into apostasy. Please keep praying for the denominations. I believe when any denomination rebels and if no repentance again, that denomination eventually will be wiped out.

The problem of the USA is not materials or the systems, but the spiritual. When Christians pray and repent on behalf of the nation, God will redeem. (Next Sunday let us talk about the issues of China.) (To be continued…)
